What is the American Academy of Business and Financial Management?
The AABFM® is an Association of Executives, created with the goal to contribute in improving good practices in diverse areas, forming a link between traditional academic education and knowing how to act, which is the fruit of their professional and business trajectory.
Our organization is working to create a community of professionals that has an interest in constant updating and being able to excel in academic and professional environments.

The Professional Certification has gained importance in a lot of countries and in different work environments, as a result of increasing competition in the labor markets of executive level in organizations. Which difference exists between the AABFM and other American Certifications?
In most professional certifications offered by American associations, one of the requirements consists of assimilating a good quantity of specific knowledge of relevant topics in the North American context, but not much applicable in the Latin American context. Other organizations active in Latin America, are almost always formed by teachers who dedicate 100% to the professorship, which, although research is extremely important, moves them away from reality, because they are not connected with other executives. On the other hand, the AABFM for Latin America has total freedom to define the criteria and knowledge that a candidate must fulfill to obtain his certification.
The AABFM is endorsed by an Academic Board formed by Experts in Business and Finance, all of them High Level Executives and Research Workers, a combination of perspectives that allows a wide, deep and pragmatic vision of the profession. This rich combination of experience and knowledge allows the design of a comprehensive, deep and up-to-date certification profile.
Based on the former, we can state that who obtains a Certification on behalf of the AABFM is a person with solid knowledge, but unlike other certifications, also has a good grip on the institutional, legal and technical peculiarities that apply to the context of the countries in the region.
¿Las Certificaciones de AABFM® tienen reconocimiento de los Ministerios de Educación?
Las Certificaciones Profesionales de ninguna organización del mundo, están reconocidas por ningún Ministerio de Educación. Lamentablemente muchas organizaciones tratan de confundir a los ejecutivos con información inadecuada o imprecisa. Pueden darse casos específicos, donde algunas organizaciones han buscado el reconocimiento de algún Ministerio de Educación y lo han conseguido.
Por nuestro lado, es importante comentar, que nuestras Certificaciones NO tienen, ni tendrán reconocimiento de ningún Ministerio de Educación, porque no es de nuestro interés.
Nuestros estándares, están por encima de los exigidos por los Ministerios de Educación y el nivel de dinamismo de nuestros programas, hacen que, para cumplir con los requisitos de los Ministerios de Educación, tengamos que tener programas inflexibles, repetitivos y tengamos que sacrificar la calidad y exigencia de nuestros contenidos.
Desde esa perspectiva, decidimos que la calidad de nuestros programas la avala nuestro Global Board y nuestros ejecutivos certificados.
¿Cuánto tiempo de vigencia tiene la Certificación?
Las Certificaciones tienen sus propios estándares. En nuestro caso, la Certificación tiene una duración anual. Eso no significa que todos los años tienes que certificarte, significa que una vez que estés certificado, para mantener vigente tu certificación y seguir gozando de los beneficios de ser un miembro activo, tienes que llevar una cantidad mínima de horas de actualización al año, para mantener la vigencia de tus conocimientos, de tus competencias y de tus beneficios.
Tienes que capacitarte mínimo 20 horas al año, en una diversidad de programas que tendrás a disposición en formatos presenciales y virtuales, así como algunos convenios que tenemos con otras organizaciones aliadas.
